Gamers For Giving 2010

Ann Arbor, Michigan was the site for Gamers For Giving 2010. This video game tournament is an annual event that supports the Gamers Outreach Foundation. This non-profit organization works to provide unique gaming opportunities in area hospitals (see below) and also connects troops overseas, with donated video games.

BEN, from our own GatheringofGamers.com video game community, traveled to this exciting event last weekend (April 29 - May 2) and helped manage the event. Along with lending a helping hand, he also shared www.GatheringofGamers.com with attendees and brought Jet Set Studio's additional gaming equipment and brand new lanyards for the event.

Overall, the 3rd annual Gamers For Giving was a total success. The Briarwood Mall was a neat venue and the tournament went off without a hitch. A ton of money was raised for charity, while gamers across the region enjoyed a top-notch video game event.

We look forward to next year's GFG tournament, but we're also excited to have Zach and his GOF team join us for The 2011 Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge! With their 32 gaming stations, we'll have access to a MUCH larger event here in Iowa. For much more stories, photos, video, and all-around event highlights, be sure to connect with the Official GoG Event Profile!
